Fernando Alarcón

As Chief Digital Officer, Fernando is leading the transformation to revolutionize theeducational landscape and establish Laureate Mexico as a frontrunner in digital innovation.

Since joining Laureate in 2022, Fernando has prioritized students at the center of his work.

He has dedicated his efforts to driving digital transformation, leveraging his expertise in information technology, change management, and design thinking — skills honed in his previous roles. With his vision and expertise, he is helping to enhance the organization's competitiveness and effectiveness. Before joining Laureate, Fernando served as the Senior Vice President at Sura Investment Management and as the Director of Digital Transformation at AFP Capital.

Fernando holds an engineering degree and a master's degree from Stanford University and its Graduate School of Business.
