Dr. Edward Roekaert

Edward holds a PhD in Hotel and Tourism Management from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He earned a Master’s in Hotel Administration and a Master’s in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, both from Cornell University. He also holds a Master’s in Senior Management and Leadership from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

He previously served as President of Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola and was elected Accreditation Commissioner for the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA) in the United States. His work focuses on advancing education in Peru through accreditation systems that foster a culture of self-assessment and continuous improvement, enhancing UPC’s position as a leading higher education institution in Peru and one of the most recognized in the region.
