President and Chief Executive Officer's Message

It has been another impactful year at Laureate, marked by significant milestones. We proudly celebrated Laureate’s 25th anniversary while honoring the remarkable legacies of our institutions, some of which have been shaping futures for more than six decades. We continue to build on our previous work, expanding on our mission of providing affordable, high-quality education that prepares students for successful careers and lifelong achievement, while fostering pride, trust, and respect in our communities.

As mentioned in last year’s Impact Report, each year we seek to further improve our approach to impact management, which allows us to evaluate and understand the effectiveness of our efforts in transforming lives and communities. In 2024, our Impact Committee and Academic Quality Committee worked with external subject matter experts to enhance our reporting practices, benchmark against peers, adhere to sustainability reporting standards, improve disclosures, and conduct a double materiality assessment.

By tracking the following key areas, we ensure our actions align with our mission and continue to drive meaningful, lasting change for the individuals and communities we serve.

Access

First-generation student success drives intergenerational mobility, breaking cycles of poverty and inspiring entire communities to pursue higher education.

Education is a powerful force for social and economic mobility, especially for students who are the first in their families to attend university.

By expanding access, we turn ambition into opportunity, enabling these students to surpass their parents’ economic status and create lasting change for their families and communities.

Tracking their progress allows us to measure real impact – how education builds the middle class, fosters social mobility, and strengthens society for generations to come.
